005. Video/Action for Azalea Town
[Good evening, Johto! It...seems that your resident mouthpiece for Peace and Love has finally found something that's quite frankly annoying the living crap out of him. It's not terribly difficult to see why; he's got a little fluff of a Swablu in one arm, an Unfezant just barely in the shot from where it's standing on the ground nestling its face into his side, and both of them are doing whatever the avian equivalent of "wailing inconsolably" is.
And contrary to whatever Squirt believes, having a Chinchou clinging to his shoulders curiously doesn't seem to be helping matters any.
He kind of huffs a bit before addressing the 'Gear.]
Now, first of all, to the gentleman who poisoned the well in Azalea Town - and I use the term 'gentleman' very, very lightly in your circumstance: I don't care what your stance is on individual challenges. You will be battled eventually. Given your stance on pacifists, I would think you would take the chance for such an easy victory. Try to teach me a lesson, if you like, but I will fight you one day.
[...he's been down there trying to hold every Slowpoke but he cannot hold every Slowpoke, etc.]
Secondly. Should you have two creatures that can't stand each other, and releasing or permanently boxing one isn't an option, what would you recommend doing about it?
[Basically, his life, his choices, his...birds. ffs, his birds get along better with his bugs than they do each other.
orz]
Thank you for your time.

And about your Pokémon. Perhaps it is not in your nature to do so, but I believe you should encourage their competition. If they cannot grow to respect each other as friends, perhaps they will as rivals.
[...but slowpokes everywhere, basically.]
As for this idea regarding competition and rivalry, it seems that it would be counterproductive...? It's possible that it's just because I'm not used to such things; I'm used to encouraging cooperation rather than rivalry, so I'm not entirely sure what that would be accomplishing.
There are times when cooperation is simply impossible, my dear Zulf. Perhaps the situation between your Pokémon is meant for you to realize that. But they also say that every situation has the potential to turn into its complete opposite. A truth that constitutes the basic plot of every tragedy and comedy ever written... Maybe all you need to do is give it time.
I'm aware that cooperation isn't always possible. At the same time, that doesn't mean that the opposite should be encouraged.

he has a lot of feelings about cooperation, okay]
I will give it time, though; it seems like the most that can be done right now, really.

But what do they compete for? Food? Your attention? Attention from other specimen?
