005. Video/Action for Azalea Town
[Good evening, Johto! It...seems that your resident mouthpiece for Peace and Love has finally found something that's quite frankly annoying the living crap out of him. It's not terribly difficult to see why; he's got a little fluff of a Swablu in one arm, an Unfezant just barely in the shot from where it's standing on the ground nestling its face into his side, and both of them are doing whatever the avian equivalent of "wailing inconsolably" is.
And contrary to whatever Squirt believes, having a Chinchou clinging to his shoulders curiously doesn't seem to be helping matters any.
He kind of huffs a bit before addressing the 'Gear.]
Now, first of all, to the gentleman who poisoned the well in Azalea Town - and I use the term 'gentleman' very, very lightly in your circumstance: I don't care what your stance is on individual challenges. You will be battled eventually. Given your stance on pacifists, I would think you would take the chance for such an easy victory. Try to teach me a lesson, if you like, but I will fight you one day.
[...he's been down there trying to hold every Slowpoke but he cannot hold every Slowpoke, etc.]
Secondly. Should you have two creatures that can't stand each other, and releasing or permanently boxing one isn't an option, what would you recommend doing about it?
[Basically, his life, his choices, his...birds. ffs, his birds get along better with his bugs than they do each other.
orz]
Thank you for your time.

I would try to speak with them and find out what the root of the conflict is. One of my companions is able to communicate telepathically with me, and through her I'm able to understand the rest...do you know any Psychic-type Pokemon?
I have one, yes, although I've never tried communicating with him in quite that way; the idea has been voiced to me before, by someone else, though it seems strange to try it out. Do you find it difficult?

[no, really. Ondorus spends a few seconds thinking about that after listening. It's very...very...
...very something nice. Not quite heartwarming, but...]
Monsterkind doesn't get along nearly so well with humankind in my experience. We live mostly separate existences, though...not in as friendly a way as your method describes.
I rather like the way this world does it. Well-poisoning excepted.
[hahaha
haha
glassesglint...]
I haven't been too impressed by the man responsible for the well-poisoning. I've had verbal run-ins with him before; he's not the reasonable sort, and he seems to be trying to brute-force this world and everyone in it into submission.
[seriously do you know how long it's been since Zulf actually wanted to punch someone
he
...probably wouldn't punch Cobra at this point but he'd strongly consider]
But individuals like that aside? This world is an interesting one, what with the cooperation between the creatures and their trainers; it's just strange to see what would be considered wild animals being so willing to obey those that catch them. It usually takes a certain kind of person to get that sort of reaction, where I'm from; it's taken a lot of getting used to, here.
Humans would call those people Earthmates, back in Norad. They're most associated with legends of the ancient past, so Johto itself has a very grand feeling from my perspective. Of course, trainers and Earthmates are very different in reality, and Pokemon have their differences from monsters, but...well. It's no less impressive.
I think Zia is probably the closest I know to that; she was - [...what...was Zia...] - a friend of mine, capable of taming creatures that scared even the most seasoned of explorers. She didn't do too much to get that sort of response, either; it just sort of happened around her.
She was here for a while, and seemed to have the same sort of talent with these creatures - moreso than the usual trainers, I mean. "Impressive" is definitely a word for it.
A human who fears and is feared by no monster.
[Ondorus shakes his head once, in an "imagine that" sort of way.]
That's something I've hoped to see for a long time. It's a shame that your friend isn't currently in Johto; I'd have very much liked to meet her.
