...ah. We had a few creatures back home that we had learned to coexist with, but it was always clear that we were in their territory; they weren't pets, nor were they companions or friends of ours. I guess that's why I find it strange that we're expected to capture and befriend these creatures here; my people believe that those back home should be left undisturbed where possible, and their wishes respected when it's not possible - to defend ourselves from attack if necessary, but always be aware that we're on their land, not the other way around.
